The Challenge:
Hurricane Irene swept up the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. in late August 2011, causing massive travel delays from the Carolinas to Vermont.
S.R. Travel’s Response:

- Ongoing e-mail updates sent to all affected travelers, who were rebooked as appropriate
- Our Disaster Recovery team worked in shifts 24/7 throughout the weekend

THE VALUE OF ATTENTIVE SERVICE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT: A Case Study
The Challenge:
A midsized company was using another travel management company for a “touchless, turn-key” online booking tool. The tool proved difficult to use and manage; preferred vendors weren’t accessible, travel policies weren’t updated and reporting was non-existent. After six months many travelers stopped using the tool. The contracted firm failed to provide the necessary training or support and the company was losing out on the benefits of travel program consolidation.

After evaluating other options, the company selected S.R. Travel as its new corporate travel management company. We immediately put an action plan in motion. By integrating preferred suppliers into the booking tool and managing the rate loading process, our technology specialists retooled the online booking solution, which is now supported by our Account Manager and his team. We held training sessions with key stakeholders to re-launch the online booking tool with a special emphasis on the client’s travel policy.
The Result:
Use of the online booking tool went up, travel costs went down and traveler satisfaction soared.
